The Networked Nonprofit — climbing the Ladder of Engagement

In Kanter and Fine’s book, The Networked Nonprofit, nonprofit organizations find a practical roadmap for breaking into the social media market.

While other texts evaluate the importance of social media as a tool and a resource for advancing business and profit-margins,  the heart of this book lies in the effort it makes to connect nonprofit leaders  with the “how-to” practices that can make social media work for their organizations.  I use the term “heart” purposefully, because one of the key differences that this book explores over Solis’s Engage, is the altruistic approach to marketing an organization using the social media venue.  [this post will be updates AS I continue to read the Kanter & Fine text..]
